I can’t toss out pretty-looking technology. This thing isn’t even mine, but I rescued it in hopes that I could determine a) what it is exactly and b) how I could make it useful again. Like nursing an injured swan back to health, I wanted to save this wireless USB adapter.
But I lacked a plan to integrate this device back into the wild where it belonged. And so it has languished in my presence, imprinting my behaviour, eating human food and generally being useless. Because everything has built-in Wi-Fi now. Even my goddamn toaster oven has a wireless card. (Not really, calm down.)
It’s time to chuck this lame duck.
