Cheerios: Part 1

I have an affinity for 3D glasses. Perhaps my life lacks sufficient depth. Maybe I’m balanced on a thin rail stretching endlessly towards future and past; an unyielding girder never rising for potential or progress or change. Not that these cardboard glasses would help.

Or maybe I’m just a kid who ate too much Honey Nut Cheerios. These were a free prize that offered a three-dimensional glimpse of a cartoon honeybee’s adventures on the back of a cereal box. I remember keeping these so that should I ever encounter another anaglyph image, I would not be unprepared. Could you imagine?

I have kept them ever since, but I’ve never once needed them. My life lacks sufficient depth.

I inadvertently wrote about this same artifact twice.
